“I had been hearing the term ‘dementia-friendly business’ and was intrigued. So, I went to a dementia-friendly community meeting and learned that it would be a great new way for us to serve our members. I attended some training that gave me the necessary tools, and subsequently trained staff at all three of our branches. Being dementia-friendly means that we are better equipped to help those affected by dementia in our communities. By adding this to our tool belt, it’s just one more way we can treat our members like family, as well as help other businesses to become dementia-friendly as well!”
