An 81 year-old, illiterate member previously used payday lenders and didn't know how much he owed, to whom, and at what interest rate. Every week for a decade, we've helped him understand his mail and each month we help pay down his loans, collections, and medical bills. We don't charge him for cashier's checks or postage. Today, all his loans are paid off, and small loans from us tide him over between social security checks. He was able to buy a 1991 Buick that he proudly shows off.
