Summary
Under the direction of the Director of IT, provides IT support to staff and members. Maintains employee permissions, assures IT operations are operating effectively, installs upgrades and maintains hardware and peripherals. Responsibilities
- Provides technical support for credit union’s staff. Sets up new users and permissions, analyzes systems and provides training.
- Develop, write and analyze Reporting Analytics reports at various departments request, providing actionable insights and recommendations to support data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee the management and upkeep of data archived systems, ensuring efficient data storage, organization and access.
- Administers end user workstations and supports end user activities. Investigates user issues and determines and implements solutions.
- Manages core processor, maintains hardware and software, monitors systems and performs help desk functions.
- Works in collaboration with managed service provider to assist with planning and implementation of network security, including maintaining firewalls, configuring VPN, file permissions, and user management.
- Coordinates technology upgrades with vendors, maintains telephone system, and monitors physical inventory.
- Evaluates technology needs for new equipment or upgrades in hardware and software. Performs and oversees software and application installation and upgrades.
- Maintains documentation relating to IT policies and procedures.
- Coordinates training for GHCU staff.
- Assists with research, planning, and implementing new technology.
Qualifications
- Knowledge equivalent to the completion of a bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology field
- One to three years of experience working in a technological environment preferably within a financial institution with 1 year of help desk experience.
- Working knowledge of credit union compliance requirements awareness of changing rules and regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively either verbally or written with employees, managers and members
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Proficient computer skills including: Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft 365 Services (Outlook/Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive for Business), Entra ID and other computer programs.
About the Organization
Glacier Hills Credit Union was established in 1934 and has four branches primarily located in Washington County. This position would be located at the main office located in West Bend.
