Summary
Taylor Credit Union is looking for a lending manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the loan department and supervise the lending staff to ensure timely processing of mortgage, consumer and business loans to the members.
Responsibilities
Management
- Operational effectiveness of Taylor Credit Union's lending policies, procedures, planning, and compliance
- Evaluates/reviews decisions to ensure appropriate risk-taking conversations and decisions occur
- Ensuring lending solutions are being generated Monitoring, maintaining, and updating policies, procedures and forms as required to meet regulatory compliance and legal requirements
- Providing leadership to the Lending Department, setting goals and priorities for department and staff, taking accountability for process and workflow improvements and having responsibility for achieving strategic and department objectives
Lending
- Promote Taylor Credit Union's loan products to business's, organizations, and individuals Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans
- Evaluate credit worthiness, employment, income and determine debt ratios
- Communicate with members to request or provide information, and resolve their requests and questions Inform members about Taylor Credit Union loan policies and services
- Assess member needs, explore all options and introduce different types of loans
- Actively cross-sell Taylor Credit Union products and services
- Go the “extra mile” to build relationships, member loyalty and satisfaction throughout the underwriting process
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience as a loan officer with consumer and mortgage lending experience - required
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience preferred Business lending experience a plus
- Proficient with computers and banking applications/software
- Solid understanding of lending products and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Member satisfaction orientation and sales competencies
- Ability to work in a goal oriented environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) - encouraged
