Join us for this new series to enhance your awareness and understanding of belonging. Level up your inclusive leadership skills and deepen connections. Through your participation you will develop a personal action plan with steps to implement at your credit union.

Belonging Builder Series Dates | Time: 11:00 - 12:00 pm

This mini training series aims to do the following: 

  • Advancing awareness and understanding of belonging – what it is and why it matters.
  • Inspiring and equipping a cohort of members to enhance their inclusive leadership skills. 
  • Providing a platform for members to deepen connections and foster a supportive learning community. 

Belonging Builder Mini-Learning Series +Capstone 

Overview: 

  • 3-week program consisting of asynchronous pre-work, three weekly 1-hour facilitated virtual learning sessions and one 1-hour capstone session for a small cohort. 
  • Focuses on practicing and applying three fundamental inclusive behaviors (being self-aware, being curious, and seek to understand), leveraging content from the Belonging Builder program. 
  • Prior to each virtual session, participants complete 15 minutes of prework (watch short explainer video and complete reflection exercise). 
  • Each session includes an overview of learning content, small group discussions, large group report-outs and Q&A.

Sample Weekly Learning Session Agenda: 

  • Welcome and icebreaker question (5 min) 
  • Learning overview and Q&A (15 min) 
  • Small group breakout discussions (20 min) 
  • Large group report-out/Q&A (15 min) 
  • Wrap-up 

Outcomes: 

  • Participants articulate why belonging matters to them and their work, strengthening organizational culture goals through personalization. 
  • Participants develop a personal inclusive behaviors action plan with actionable steps to implement in their workplace. 
  • Deepen connections, trust and understanding among participating league members. 
  • Learning impact will be measured through pre and post assessments to gauge knowledge and behavior change.

Speakers

Beth Ridley

Consultant, Speaker, Author & CEO | Ridley Consulting Group

She is a corporate executive turned workplace culture consultant, speaker, author and CEO of Ridley Consulting Group. Beth combines 30 years of global leadership and management consulting experience with expertise in diversity and inclusion and positive psychology to help organizations strengthen leaders, teams and workplace cultures with belonging best practices and inclusion solutions.   

Beth’s work has been featured in national publications and she frequently appears on television and delivers keynotes at events around the world.   

Beth holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Virginia, an MA in International Relations from Tufts University and an MBA from Columbia University. Beth has lived in London, Tokyo, Johannesburg and Bangkok and now resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her husband and three children.
