We believe the inability to read and write directly affects how a person understands their finances. To help support literacy within our communities, we partner with the Taylor County Literacy Council to sponsor an annual “March Into Reading” fundraiser. Our staff raises funds by selling flavored popcorn and having an office decorating competition. These are used to support literacy programs sponsored by the Council, such as placing Little Free Libraries, free monthly book and movie events, adult tutoring services, monthly book donations to organizations, and providing mental health literacy materials.
