Summary
The Branch Manager leads by example, guiding a cohesive member experience team to effectively build long-lasting relationships with members and deliver exceptional service every day. In addition to leadership responsibilities, the Branch Manager assists as needed with account openings and transactions, promoting credit union products, and processing consumer loan applications. This role also specializes in being the credit union’s primary liaison for Spanish-speaking members through in-branch service and spearheading outreach efforts that engage potential new members in the community. Responsibilities
- Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained member services team, fostering a positive and supportive team culture.
- Monitor branch operations to ensure consistent, professional member service.
- Establish and maintain a strong cross-selling culture within the branch.
- Monitor key product referrals to maximize member engagement and participation in the financial cooperative.
- Evaluate the job performance of member services team to ensure standards are met for performance and service to members.
- Monitor branch activity and trends; prepare monthly reports for the Board of Directors.
- Reinforce policies and procedures for the branch, ensuring employee compliance with federal laws and regulations.
- Manage the security and safety of the branch: Ensure direct reports understand and follow security-related policies and procedures. Coordinate security training, including robbery training, with the branch team on an ongoing basis. - Schedule adequate staffing for efficient branch operations.
- Conduct consumer loan interviews; process, approve and/or close loans. - Assist team members or members with resolving complex account issues.
- Provide input on and monitor the frontline operations budget for the branch.
- Serve as a member of the Business Development Committee, focusing on the credit union’s commitment to serving the unique needs of the Spanish-speaking community:
- Develop a strategic plan designed to foster new member relationships.
- Present information at union workshops or events with the VP of Member Experience; provide resources and answer questions to promote strong engagement.
- Provide recommendations to the Business Development Committee that will drive existing membership base’s participation in the credit union.
- Participate in outreach or sponsorship activities that promote the credit union through visible participation in the community.
- Facilitate financial literacy events for Spanish-speaking members.
- May need to serve as a Notary Public.
Qualifications
- Must be bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to speak and write fluently in both languages.
- Proven leadership skills in a collaborative, supportive work environment.
- Previous experience in a Branch Manager, Teller Supervisor, or other leadership role is preferred.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with members and employees in a courteous and helpful manner.
- Familiarity with credit union services, products, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of account services and consumer loan processes.
- Ability to multitask while providing a high level of service.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to resolve employee and member concerns or issues independently.
- Notary Public certification is a plus.

Pay range for the Branch Manager – Bilingual Spanish non-exempt (hourly) position is $55,000 - $62,000 per year. We are dedicated to serving our members Monday – Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm which allows our team to enjoy weekends off.
