On March 21, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers signed two important bills that The League strongly advocated for to combat financial elder abuse and modernize credit union state statutes.

This week, over 225 Wisconsin Credit Union Activists shared The Credit Union Difference with their elected officials at The League's annual State Government Affairs Conference in Madison.

Wisconsin's Credit Unions® thank Congressman Scott Fitzgerald for his leadership in introducing a bipartisan bill to increase the loan maturity cap. As not-for-profit cooperatives, credit unions are mission-driven and structured to put members' interests first, and the Expanding Access to Lending Options Act enhances their ability to support members' financial well-being.

This week, Governor Tony Evers signed Act 60 into law, a League-supported financial literacy bill requiring Wisconsin high school students to complete one-half credit of personal financial literacy for high school graduation.

On January 24, over 200 Wisconsin Credit Union Activists shared The Credit Union Difference in 128 meetings with their legislators for our annual State Government Affairs Conference.
