The Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation's Board of Directors has awarded its Emerging Markets Grant to Royal Credit Union and three Professional Development scholarships to credit union professionals looking to continue their education.
The Emerging Markets Grant, introduced in 2019, supports efforts to reach communities in Wisconsin that struggle to be served by traditional financial services. This year, Royal Credit Union received a $1,500 grant to support their financial education efforts with incarcerated individuals at the Eau Claire County Jail.
In addition, The Foundation awarded three professional development scholarships:
- John Lyon (Southern Lakes Credit Union) for CUNA Management School
- Lois Pluff (Sheboygan Area Credit Union) for CUNA Management School
- Jonathan Roepke, YP (Holy Family Memorial Credit Union) for CUNA Investment Certification eSchool
The Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes the wellness of credit unions and the communities they serve. The Foundation's resources are used to promote credit union development, help educate credit union staff and volunteers, support programming to enhance financial literacy, and assist the credit union system in times of need.
