Less Than Two Weeks Left for Grant Opportunities!
The Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation is now accepting applications through June 30 for its annual Credit Union Development Grant and The Difference Grant. 

The Credit Union Development Grant assists credit unions in need of support for technology- and operations-related expenses and upgrades that will measurably assist the credit union in serving its members, with preference given to credit unions under $100 million in assets.

The Difference Grant helps real consumers build financially strong, self-supporting families and communities by supporting innovative credit union services.


Early Bird Discounts End Next Friday: The League Leadership Institute
The League’s Leadership Institute is designed to help emerging and mid-level managers build their leadership skills to more effectively prepare for succession planning and promotion. This virtual school is being offered during a five-month period starting in August through December with two half-day sessions (8:30 am - 12:30 pm) each month during the same week for a total of 11 online sessions. Students are encouraged to partner with their supervisor to tailor the action plan to fit their professional growth plan. Early bird discounts available through next Friday, June 28!  Learn More >>

Wisconsin’s State-Chartered Credit Unions Report Sound First Quarter Financial Performance
Wisconsin’s 107 state-chartered credit unions continue to exhibit sound financial performance as of March 31, 2024, according to data released today by the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions (DFI).

Strong as Granite: Credit Unions Celebrate 90 Years of the Federal Credit Union Act
On June 26, it will have been exactly 90 years since President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Federal Credit Union Act of 1934. It was the throes of the Great Depression, and Americans were searching for help wherever possible. Many turned to the nation’s first federal credit unions established as a response to the financial needs of workers. As more of these unique financial institutions took hold, Congress acted to provide a legal framework, now known as the Federal Credit Union Act of 1934.
