CU Community Day 10/14 - Sign Up Today!
In conjunction with multiple other state leagues, The Wisconsin Credit Union League hosts an annual community outreach day on Indigenous Peoples' Day. This is an opportunity for Wisconsin's credit unions to increase their visibility statewide and showcase how they serve their communities throughout the year. Final Days to Register! League Leadership Institute
The League’s Leadership Institute is designed to help emerging and mid-level managers build their leadership skills to more effectively prepare for succession planning and promotion. This virtual school is being offered during a five-month period starting in August through December with two half-day sessions (8:30 am - 12:30 pm) each month during the same week for a total of 11 online sessions. Students are encouraged to partner with their supervisor to tailor the action plan to fit their professional growth plan. Last day to register is Friday, July 26 or until sold out! Learn More >> 

Resilience Reinvented: How a Mobile Recovery Unit Kept a Flooded Branch Afloat and Thriving
From Agility Recovery: Communities rely on local credit union branches to be open in times of disaster, especially to obtain cash when cellular networks are down and members are unable to use credit cards to purchase needed resources. Recovering at a nearby branch can be a quick fix, but comes with inconveniences for members and staff, and is hardly a sustainable solution – especially when restoration and remediation efforts come without guaranteed completion dates.

Learn how one branch restored operations seamlessly following severe flood damage to their workspace, and how a mobile branch recovery unit provided comfort and continuity for impacted members and employees. Read On >>

The Tristate Collaborative Leadership Conference, hosted by the Minnesota, Montana, and Wisconsin Credit Union Associations, is a new event that will focus on accelerating leadership skills and building credit union knowledge for the next generation of leaders. Climate Justice Starts With Credit Unions 
The credit union movement's long history of serving as financial first responders is once again being recognized. With the help of a new federal program, the $27 billion Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF), credit unions are now poised to help their members in low-income and disadvantaged communities who are grappling with rising energy costs and challenges like extreme heat.

90 Years After FCU Act Signing, Credit Union Mission is More Important Than Ever
The Federal Credit Union Act was signed 90 years ago, but the most important thing about that number isn’t the milestone, instead it’s the journey it represents. Credit unions were founded to help those left behind, and Congress granted them powers in the Federal Credit Union Act while spelling out a mission to create “a source of credit for provident or productive purposes,” and credit unions continue to fulfill that mission to this day.
