Last month, the Annual Finance & Investment Challenge Bowl was held at Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) in Eau Claire. The Finance and Investment Challenge Bowl (FICB) is a quiz bowl competition that helps teach high school students about personal finance and economics.

You’ve recently seen all the glitz and glamour of the Oscars and Grammys, but The League Annual Convention and Expo boasts a number of celebrities, too. Check out these famous faces presenting at the year’s largest gathering of Wisconsin credit unions. In addition to meeting and reconnecting with your colleagues from across the state, you might just get a photo or two.

Sharing thought provoking stories about how credit unions helping their members in times of need allows policymakers to understand The Credit Union Difference and how credit union members impact their credit union constituents everyday.

On April 1, Governor Tony Evers proclaimed the month of April as Financial Literacy and Capability Month in Wisconsin. The proclamation is part of a nationwide effort to raise awareness about the importance of financial literacy education and financial wellness.

We can’t wait to welcome you all to our Annual Convention & Expo, to be held in-person for the first time since 2019 this May 11-14 in Appleton! This is a can’t-miss event for all the committed credit union professionals who are eager to help benefit their members while also building a strong network. Registration is now officially open!

Last week, over 50 Activists joined leaders from across the country in Washington D.C. to advocate as part of the 2022 CUNA’s Government Affairs Conference. The week featured thought provoking speakers, the annual CULAC Sweepstakes to raise funds to support friendly candidates, and importantly, visits with Wisconsin members of Congress.

For Women’s History Month, The Wisconsin Credit Union League (The League) — a trade association representing the interests of 118 credit unions across the state — is celebrating the strong representation of women leaders in The Credit Union Movement both in Wisconsin and nationwide.

The Minnesota Credit Union Network, Montana’s Credit Unions, and The Wisconsin Credit Union League have partnered to offer TriState Products & Services. The three states are working together to form strategic endorsement relationships with partners to help their credit unions best serve their members.

​Whether freezing cold or unseasonably warm, Wisconsinites had some winter fun February 12-20 when a total of 68 participants representing 22 credit unions and system partners raised a record $13,500 for The Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation!

Through a series of technology upgrades over the next several months, The Wisconsin Credit Union League has its eye on providing a better-than-ever member experience in 2022! Starting February 24 with the launch of a new membership database, these changes will make for smoother event registration, a more interactive networking platform, improved email communications, easier advocacy and political giving, and so much more.

Since saving money remains a popular New Year's resolution, The League decided to kick off the year by sharing savings tips combined with the Savers Sweepstakes® program throughout the month of January in a paid social media campaign on Facebook. This campaign reached 75,000 Wisconsinites of all ages and directed individuals to open up a Savers account at a participating credit union in their area.

From January 26 - 28, over 130 Credit Union Activists met with state legislators, both in person and over Zoom, as part of The League’s annual State Government Affairs Conference.

On January 26, over 130 Wisconsin Credit Union Activists shared The Credit Union Difference in meetings with their legislators for our annual State Government Affairs Conference.

On Tuesday, Activists from across Wisconsin attended the Senate Committee on Financial Institutions and Revenue hearing to support and testify in favor of SB 451, a bill modernizing the state statutes governing credit unions.
