Since 2007, The Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation has promoted the wellness of Wisconsin's credit unions and the communities they serve, and--on August 23--you'll have a chance to support this mission at our annual Foundation Invitational!
What Does The Foundation Do?
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, The Foundation has provided over $1.5 million and counting to improve financial education across Wisconsin, promote credit union development through grants, educate credit union staff and volunteers, and support the credit union system in times of need. This includes:
- Financial literacy initiatives such as the Financial Counseling Certification Program (FiCEP) and Bite of Reality(R) app.
- Grants, including The Credit Union Development Grant, The Difference Grant, and the Inclusion Fund Grant
- Educational programming, including the Exploring Why™ Workshop and Community Development Roundtable
- Educational scholarships, including the CUNA Management School Scholarship, Pat Wesenberg Development Education (DE) Scholarship, & Professional Development Scholarships
- Disaster relief funds to assist members and their communities (In 2022, $17,900 was donated to CUAid to assist with the crisis in Ukraine, damages caused by wildfires throughout the western United States, and hurricane relief in the southeastern United States)
