From February 8-16, over 80 participants moved it for The Movement, breaking a sweat and raising more than $14,000 to support the wellness of Wisconsin's credit unions. The annual Frozen Foundation Fitness Fundraiser, held each winter, featured shoveling, skiing, snowshoeing, four-legged friends, and plenty of other assorted winter fun and frolicking!
Participants in the fundraiser helped raise awareness of The Foundation's mission on social media--check out submitted photos on The League's Facebook page. Plus, over $1,500 was awarded in cash prizes to those who submitted photos.
The Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation (The Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes the wellness of credit unions and the communities they serve. The Foundation's resources are used to promote credit union development, help educate credit union staff and volunteers, support programming to enhance financial literacy, and assist the credit union system in times of need. Every participant in this annual event helps support more Certified Credit Union Financial Counselors working one-on-one with members at Wisconsin credit unions, helps bring more Bite of Reality® sessions to middle and high schools around the state, and helps more credit union staff attend Credit Union Management School or earn their Development Education (CUDE) designations--just to name a few.
We are grateful for the support of all who participated, as well as our corporate sponsors, TruStage, Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago, and Corporate Central Credit Union.
