The Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation's Board of Directors has awarded its Emerging Markets Grant to Royal Credit Union and three Professional Development scholarships to credit union professionals looking to continue their education.

64 participants from three states were selected to participate in the inaugural Tristate Mentor Match - a 12-month formal mentorship program developed in partnership by the Minnesota Credit Union Network, Montana’s Credit Unions and the Wisconsin Credit Union League.

Last month, The Foundation's Board of Directors met to award funds to Wisconsin's credit unions through their Credit Union Development and REAL Solutions grants. A record $80,000 was distributed to help recipients better serve their communities. Here they are!

To reach a broader audience with more consumer-friendly lingo in mind, The League's REAL Solutions Program is now The Difference, though there's no difference in our mission!

Political advocacy allows credit unions to provide financial support that can help elect and keep credit union friendly elected officials in office. Contributions to campaigns allow Activists to build rapport with candidates and key elected officials, show support for the individuals that champion our priorities, and importantly give our allies running for office the leg up they need to win election. 

It's important to stop and think about what you truly value. A lot of people have never done this. It's important to write the list because that helps you prioritize these things that deserve your energy and attention. So at a very basic level, a bucket list forces you to think about what’s important and reminds you to take steps towards those things.
